The controller of your personal data is Banco BAI Cabo Verde, S.A., headquartered at Edifício BAI Center, Chã d'Areia, Praia. For data protection matters, contact the Data Protection Officer through our branches or customer support channels.

2. What data we collect

  • Identification and contact details you give us when opening an account, taking out products or filling in forms: name, identity document, tax number, address, phone and email.
  • Transaction and banking-relationship data, when you are our customer.
  • Anonymous browsing data (no IP address and no name), collected on this site only with your consent, to improve your experience.

3. How we use your data

  • Provide and manage the products and services you contract.
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations, including anti-money-laundering.
  • Ensure transaction security and prevent fraud.
  • Communicate with you and, when authorised, present suitable solutions.

4. Legal basis

Processing is based on contract performance, compliance with legal obligations, the bank's legitimate interest and, where applicable, your consent. Processing follows Cabo Verde's personal data protection law, under the supervision of the National Data Protection Commission (CNPD).

You may at any time exercise your rights of access, rectification, update, objection, restriction and erasure, and withdraw any consent given. Simply contact us through a branch or customer support. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNPD.

6. Security and retention
